As you know, auto accidents create a tremendous amount of stress, both mentally and physically. If accidents aren’t treated properly they can heal poorly and lead to greater problems in the future. At Mckim Chiropractic, our doctors have treated hundreds of auto injuries and helped patients manage this stressful time.
We will perform a physical evaluation and take X-rays to determine the extent of the injuries. In most cases, we can treat these symptoms in our office. We use chiropractic care, intersegmental traction therapy, electrical stimulation therapy, and therapeutic exercises. In more complicated cases, we have a great network of other providers in the area if other treatment or imaging is needed. We have also worked very closely with several local attorneys who have taken great care of our patients if legal needs arise. This combined approach can help to take some of the stress out of the recovery process after an unfortunate accident.
According to the Insurance Research Council, nearly 1/3 of all claimants injured in motor vehicle accidents (MVAs) seek treatment from doctors of chiropractic. This is an impressive number given that the National Safety Council (NSC) has determined there to be more than 12 million MVAs annually involving more than 20 million vehicles.
The reason individuals like yourself choose chiropractic care for the treatment of injuries sustained in MVAs is simple - chiropractic care is exceptional in the treatment of soft tissue injuries, especially of the spine. Since the most common injuries associated with MVAs are sprains and strains of the spinal muscles and ligaments, it's only natural that chiropractic be the treatment of choice.
Many studies have also found individuals injured in MVAs prefer chiropractic care for the treatment of their injuries. One such study evaluated 190 whiplash injury victims and found those who received chiropractic care reported treatment satisfaction of 100%.

“They have been treating my daughter after her car accident. They have been wonderful to work with and work directly with the attorney on her case. That takes a huge load off of her. The front staff and providers are all so kind and caring and give Kodi the care that she needs. Thank you! :)”

“I have recently been in two car crashes, both totaling the vehicles, and they saw that I had suffered some whiplash during this through some free X-rays they ran on me when I checked in. After only 5 sessions so far, I suffer less headaches. Also, my back spasms and tightening are significantly decreasing. It has been very helpful for me physically. It is also super relaxing because of the nice environment and kindness of the staff and doctors. I would recommend this to friends with back problems.”
